Upon his return to Kansas and his family, he struck out on his own and found himself in California.
Here he met his future bride, Doris Irene Burke and had a family of three children. As with most families he worked hard and enjoyed his family life.
Clyde passed away at his sisters home in Lynwood, California on August 21, 1955, leaving his loving wife Doris, three children, Robert, Richard and Nancy to mourn his passing.
Clyde was buried at Mountain View Cemetery.
