DARLENE NADARA MARTIN, born March 22, 1927, went home to be with the Lord on November 13, 2008. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Bill Martin; one daughter, Vicki and son-in-law, Ron Hawkins; 4 sons and their wives, Bill Jr., Steve (Jayne), Jim (Ginger), and Dave (Lori); 9 Grandchildren; and 4 Great Grandchildren; and her beloved dogs, Rinny and Peppy. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Fontana. She loved to bowl, avid reader of mysteries, word searches, and loved her game shows, but her greatest joy was her children. Darlene and her husband, Bill owned and operated the Village Shopping Center in Fontana for over 35 years. She was a loving wife and mother who always put her family's needs before her own. Visitation will be held Thurs., Nov. 20th at 10:00 A.M. and Memorial Service at 11:00 A.M. at Stanley L. Dickey Mortuary, 8030 Mango Avenue, Fontana. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to City of Hope or St. Jude Hospitals.
