Mrs. Docia Gathright, 87, of Rosenberg, died Wednesday at 9 p.m. in a Rosenberg hospital due to a lengthy illness.
She was a former resident of Victoria.
Mrs. Gathright was born on May 13, 1892, in Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Clifton Gathright who died in 1969. Mrs. Gathright was a member of the Baptist church.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at McCabe-Carruth Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Edwin Jenkins officiating.
Burial will be in Colonial Gardens Cemetery with McCabe-Carruth Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Sibyl Roden of Edna, Mrs. Pearl Calk of El Paso, Mrs. Loretta Koeppen of Rosenberg and Mrs. R. D. Kunz of Richmond; a son, Henry C. Gathright of Pasadena; a brother, Byrd Bogley of Lott; and numberous grandchildren.
