Jeremiah and Rachel Coreson migrated to Vernon, Michigan from New York in 1855. They purchased an 80 acre farm in Vernon. Jeremiah survived the Civil War. His oldest son, Cornelius survived, his two younger sons Samuel and Edward died in the Civil War.Enlisted: August 26, 1864 in Owosso, Michigan as Private with Co. E. 29th Michigan Infantry mustered out September 6, 1865.
