James Aasen, 76, of Clearbrook, died on Saturday, may 3, 1997, at the North Country Regional Hospital in Bemidji.
He was born March 28, 1921, at Hatton, North Dakota the son of Ole and Ella Aasen. He attended a country school in Weme. He was united in marriage to Hope Lund on July 5, 1941 in Clearbrook. They lived in Clearbrook and James managed the Walker farm most of his life.
Survivors include his wife, Hope of Clearbrook; children: James Jr. (Linda) of Clarkston, Washington, Gerald of Clearbrook, and Gloria (Ben) Vorderbruggen of Clearbrook; William (Becky) of Springfield, Oregon, Joseph (Linda) of Morton, Washington, Carolyn (Steve) Cornell of Gully, David (Kathy) of Willits, California, Suzanne (Micheal) Molden of Gonvick, Patricia (Kelly) Cornell of Ogilvie, Minnesota; 35 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Leroy and Alf; and a son, Daniel.
Memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Bagley with Perry Manecke officiating. Interment will be at the Oak Park Cemetery in Weme. Arrangements are with the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley.
