Robert Steven Phipps,
known to his friends as
"Uncle Steve" Phipps, age
88, of Richlands, passed
away Monday morning in a
Richlands hospital follow-
ing a long illness.
He is survived by his
wife, Mrs. Eliza Sayers
Phipps; a son, John Henry
Phipps of Marion; a step-
daughter, Mrs. Gussy Patrick
of Salem; nine grandchildren
and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held
Wednesday at 2 p.m (DST) at
the Farmer Funeral Home with
the Rev. Eugene Chaffin and
the Rev. Thomas Patrick of-
ficiating.
Interment followed in the
Hankins Cemetery.
