Per information from Contributor Mark McCrady, Martha Kent was buried in unmarked grave at Crouch Cemetery and not in Duncan Cemetery as previously posted. It should be noted that her obituary, which follows, relates differently. Additionally, the burial location on her death record is not clearly legible and appears to read “Clau Dolpher Cemetery”.
Obituary from The Brown County Democrat (Nashville, Indiana) – 22 Jan 1931
Martha Kent, aged 82 years, a highly respected chirstian lady, died at the home of her son, Jas. Kent, in Johnson Township, Friday January 16, after a lingering illness.
Mrs. Kent was a life long citizen of this county. She was the widow of the late Madison Kent who preceded her in death.
She was the mother of twelve children, five of whom have preceded her in death. She is survived by four sons, Marion, Jas. And Pete, of this county, and Ben Kent, of Monroe county, and three daughters, Mrs. Bell Day, of Bloomington, and Mrs. Mamie Penrose and Mrs. Helen Bales, of this county.
Mrs. Kent was a faithful member of the Christian church, a kind and loving mother and will be sadly missed by her friends and loved ones.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Harley Lucas. Burial in the Schooner cemetery.

Indiana State Board of Health Certificate of Death no 229 for Johnson Township, Brown County records that Martha Kent, age 81y 5m 2ds, died on January 16 1931 in Brown County. The cause of death was "Chronic Interstitial Nephritis". She was the daughter of Daniel Parsley,and Eliza Jane Brenton, and the widow of Madison Kent. The informant was James Kent of Bloomington Indiana.
