"Nathan Leroy Thomas, 51, painter and decorator here for 15 years and for a number of years active in the Central Trades and labor council here, died at his home near Dew Drop Inn Sunday morning at 3:15 o'clock after an illness lasting about one year. Before coming to Pine Bluff 15 years ago Mr. Thomas resided for a number of years at Booneville. He was born in Oklahoma on Sept. 13, 1887. He was a member of the Masonic lodge in Masnfield, Ark. Survivors include his widow, the former Miss Ada Harrison, of Mansfield, Ark.; five daughters, Marye, Pauline, Goda, and Frieda Thomas, and Mr.s Roger Allred, all of Pine Bluff; five brothers, F. W. Thomas, Pine Bluff, Chester and Claude of Junton, Okla.; Ray of Helena, Ark.; and Hogan thomas, of Nebraska; one sister, Mrs. Elsia English, of Lincoln, Neb., and a number of other relatives. Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon at the Holderness-South mortuary chapel conducted by the Rev. J. Ben Wofford, past of the Calvary Baptist church, and the Rev. Charles W. Finch, missionary for the Harmony Baptist association and burial was in Bellwood cemetery in charge of Holderness-South mortuary. Pallbearers: active - D. L. Ridgeway, Ivy Quinn, John Horne, E. L. Cashion, R. A. Poole, Tucker Meeks, and Frank Hugehs. Honorary - Watler Henslee, Garland Brewster, Frank Yarbrough, Bert McCarthy, W. J. Reed, Fred Herrington, John Connell. Leslie D. Tucker, F. F.
