MRS. ROSA CLINARD RITES HELD MONDAY
After an illness of only a few days, Mrs. Rosa Clinard, 76, died Saturday morning at her home at 131 Michigan avenue. Funeral rites for her were held at the Zuver & Calvin chapel, Monday afternoon, the Rev. Wm. E. Goltz officiating and burial was in the Thomas cemetery in Bangor township, beside the grave of her late husband.
Deceased was born near Bangor on March 17, 1864, and as Rosa Sherman she became the second wife of Zimri Clinard in 1884. They resided on a farm in southwest Bangor until 13 years ago, when they came to Hartford and purchased the home on Michigan avenue where Mr. Clinard died several years ago.
Seven childern were born to them--Harry and Roy, Bangor, Mrs. Etta Frazier of Keeler, Earl of Watervliet, Mrs. Myrtle Phillips of Kenner, LA, and Elton and Grace who are deceased. She was also the mother to three step-children, Henry Clinard of Lawrence, Mrs. Bertha Disbrow of Hartford, and Mrs. Dolly Graves, deceased.
She also leaves one brother, William Waldorf of Watervliet, 28 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and many friends to whom she was endeared by her unselfish devotion to others. She was an attendant at the Federated church. Many neighbors from the Bangor community were here to attend her funeral rites Monday.
