Dutton Man, Rade Sijan, 85, Dies Friday
Funeral services for Rade Sijan, 85, Dutton, were held in a Great Falls funeral home Monday. Sijan died in a Great Falls hospital Friday after a one-month illness. Burial was in Highland cemetery.
He was born March 24, 1878, in Bunich, Yugoslavia. He came to the United States in 1906 and to Great Falls the same year. He worked for Anaconda Co. until 1918 when he began farming at Power. He had lived in Dutton since 1933. His wife, Angy, died in June of 1958.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. George Grossman, Power, and Mrs. Mary Huseby, Great Falls; sons, Nick, Spokane, Wash., Steve, Renton, Wash., and Mike, Great Falls; 18 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
