Loyd Houston Boling Sr. - age 70, of Howell Road, Mascot, died Tuesday evening from injuries received in a tractor accident. Retired carpenter with Anning and Johnson Construction Company. Member of Carpenters Local No. 50. Veteran of WWII. Member of Byerley's Chapel Baptist Church. Preceded in death by grandson, Aaron Boling. Survivors: wife, Mrs. Eula Johnnie Webster Boling; sons and daughters-in-law, Houston and Jenny Boling, Corryton, R.H. and Delores Boling, Hugh and Dorothy Boling, Ernest and Theresa Boling, all of Mascot; daughters and sons-in-law, Frances and Jerry Barrett, Luttrell and Evelyn and Robert Newman, Blaine; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; mother, Mrs. Pearl Shular Boling, Mascot; sisters, Mrs. Iona McDaniel, Knoxville, Mrs. Leona Oaks, Mrs. Wanda Lusk, Mrs. Virginia Smith, all of Mascot; brother, Amos Boling of Ohio, Doy Boling of Mascot, Doan Boling, Strawberry Plains; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday, Byerley's Chapel Baptist Church, Rev. Herman Lakin, Rev. Jack Day, Rev. Charles Gray officiating. The body will lie in state one hour before the service. Interment Eastview Cemetery. Pallbearers; Ricky, Carl and Kevin Boling, Jerry Barrett, Robert Newman, Wade Shelton, George and Tim Witt. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Byerley's Chapel Baptist Church. The Volunteer State Honor Guard will have charge of the services. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Friday. McCarty Mortuary.
