Doan Auston Boling – age 85 of Strawberry Plains passed away Monday, July 17, 2017, at his home. He was founder and owner of Boling Construction. He was a member of Byerley's Chapel Baptist Church. He loved to hunt, fish, and spend time at his campground with his family. Preceded in death parents, Richard and Pearl Shular Boling; loving wife of 52 years, Pearly Mae Anderson Boling; daughter, Katie Sankey; sons, Randall Boling, Ronald Boling; granddaughter, Sharlene Michelle Young; brothers, Monroe, Amos, Doy, and Loyd Boling; sisters, Georgia and Trevena Boling, and Leona Oaks. Survived by daughter, Lora Leonard and husband Kenny; sons, Donald Boling, David Boling and wife Ginger; sisters, Wanda Lusk Burkhart and husband David, Virginia Smith, Iona McDaniel; 20 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and special little granddaughter, Tamarea Ann Hurst "Tooter"; and his Lil' dog, Cookie. Special thanks to all who helped in taking care of him. Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Bridges Funeral Home with Rev. Dustin Turner officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:15 AM Thursday at Bridges Funeral Home and proceed to Eastview Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 AM interment. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday at Bridges Funeral Home.
