Her obituary reads: Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock for Mrs. John Morsett, 44, who died suddenly Monday afternoon. Rev. V. Gregory Rosemont will conduct the services at Lindsey Memorial Presbyterian church and burial will be made at Martin Community Cemetery, with Ziegler Funeral Services in charge.
Mrs. Morsett was stricken with a heart attack while attending the Jalopy races at Martin Fair grounds and was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
Music at the funeral will be furnished by Mrs. Fredric Cozad, organist. She also will accompany Mrs. Marvin Mansfield, soloist.
Pallbearers will be Robert Skrdland, Burnell Wheeler, Kenneth Waggoner, Richard Sigman, LeRoy Kaplan and James Merchen.
May Faustin Morsett was born April 28, 1921, at Sargent, Nebraska, and died September 6, 1965, being of the age of 44 years, 4 months, and 8 days. She was a daughter of George and Ruby Dye.
She was married to John Morsett and they lived in Wyoming. The Morsett family came to Bennett county about 25 years ago and lived on a farm in the Blackpipe area until about six years ago when they moved to Martin. Mrs. Morsett has been employed at the K & M Market most of that time of her death.
Survivors include her husband, John, three sons, Orland, Arnold and Ronald and two daughters, Mrs. Sidney (Kay) Spears, and Connie; her mother, Mrs. Donald Marlett, of Casper, Wyoming, two sister, Mrs. Lester Rogers of Casper and Mrs. Robert Clark of Worland, Wyoming, two brothers, Larry Dye of Cody, Wyoming, and Orvil Dye of Las Vegas, Nevada, and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, a son, Donald, a brother, Martin, and sister, Beverly.
