William "Bud" Whitaker, 77, of Greensburg, died Friday, March 17, 2006, at Indiana Heart Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born Jan. 20, 1929, in Polaski, Ky., he was the son of Virgil and Hester (Childers) Whitaker, both deceased.
Mr. Whitaker had worked at D&M in Connersville and at Schnadig Corporation in Rushville.
Survivors include one daughter, Donna L. Harlan of La Palma, Calif.; step son, David Goodpaster of Somerset, Ky.; two sisters, Gatha Hutchinson of Rushville and Ruby Hawk of Franklin County; and special friend, Donna Washburn.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Burns Funeral Home in Milroy. Burial will follow in Arlington East Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
