He is survived by his wife, the former Lelia Williamson of Hammond; four sons, Virgil Joiner of Baton Rouge, Curtis Joiner of St. Louis, Mo., Homer Joiner of Hammond and Donald Joiner of Highland, Ill.; two daughters, Miss Eloise Joiner of Hammond and Mrs. Howard Raybon of Baton Rouge.
Poole Funeral Home was in charge. Pallbearers were nephews of Mr. Joiner, including Steve Henry, Earl Langenstein, Carroll Forbes, Edward Williamson and William Robertson.
