Richard "Rick" Tingle II, 46, of Madison, died Monday, March 22, 2010, at King's Daughters' Hospital.

He was born Dec. 26, 1963, in Madison, the son of Richard and Norma Catherine Lehnert Tingle. He was raised and lived all of his life in the Madison area. He was a 1982 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School and enjoyed playing football and wrestling in school. He was baptized at the First Christian Church of Hanover. Early in life, he was employed with McDonald's Restaurant, Marble Hill Construction, Combs Construction and Ed Pratt Electric and Steel Technologies. He had worked seven and a half years with Arvin Sango as an electrician and in maintenance. He co-owned Tingle & Feltner Post Buildings and Frames for 15 years with Shawn Feltner. He enjoyed being with his family and his dog; hunting deer, turkey, rabbit, squirrel, wild boar and elk; fishing; riding four wheelers; mushroom hunting; lifting weights; and tattoos. He also enjoyed karate and was a black belt. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by his wife, Shawntale Nicole Gilvin Tingle, whom he married Jan. 20, 2007; one daughter, Emy Tingle of Madison; one step son, Hunter Anderson of Madison; his mother, of Madison; two sisters, Catherine Dillon of Winslow and Regina Ray of Carrollton, Ky.; one grandson; six aunts and uncles; four nieces and nephews; five great-nieces and great-nephews; and several cousins and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father, who died June 25, 1993; his grandparents, George P. Lehnert, Florence Lehnert Goebel and George W. and Mae Tingle; and his step grandfather, Howard Goebel.

The funeral was at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial was in Hebron Cemetery.
