NOBLESVILLE--Ida Kay Benson, 64, Noblesville, died Monday at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis.
A native and lifelong resident of Hamilton County, she worked at Delco Remy Division 25 years before retiring in 1980. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and a member-at-large of Delta Theta Tau sorority. Since 1977, she served as vice president of J. Worth Baker Co. Inc. in Indianapolis.
She is survived by her husband, Lester A. Benson; a daughter, Jennifer Jacobs of Atlanta, Ind.; two sons, Max Benson of New York and Bob Benson of Cicero; two sisters, Ruth Mary Coffin of LaGrange and Sue McDole of Speedway; and a brother, Alvin K. Baker of Westfield.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Oaklawn Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Richard Christopher officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Friends will be received at Coaltrin-Randall and Roberts Funeral Home here from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday.
