Jerusha Patton Cornell was born near Idaville Nov. 30, 1849 and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Uriah Patton. She was 79 years 4 months and 3 days old at the time of her death. On Nov 30,1871 she was united in marriage to Mr. James W. cornell and to the union one son Orran P Cornell of Indianapolis was born.
Mrs Cornell was a converted and united with the Church of God when she was 16 years old in the year 1865and lived a loyal and consistantmember until death. Her Husband was a minister of the Gospel most of his life and was very devoted to his family and his Lord but he was called away by death August 28,1911.
Mr. and Mrs Cornell were industious and enterprising citizens and built for themselves and family a splendid home in Idaville, where they lived and died, leaving behind them for family and friends, a splendid reputation and Christian heritage.
Surviving are the son, Orran P Cornell of Indianapolis and his two children Robert G. Cornell of Indianapolis and Mrs. Opal P. Moon of Hollywood, California, also two brothers and two sisters.
