In the words of Lois' brother William Jesse Robertson, written in 1954:

"Lois Faye Robertson, so far has never been married. Instead, after mother's death in 1934, she has made it her chief concern to look after the welfare of Dad. For which all the Robertson children owe her a debt of gratitude."

Some time later, William added this postscript to his entry: "Lois's baby boy, born out of wedlock in 1934 was given the simple little name "Allen". He died shortly after birth under mysterious circumstances and was burried in the Robertson family plot, Oak Grove Cemetery, Le Roy, Ill."

In fact, Lois named the baby David Roland Westry. Baby David's grave marker is simply marked "David". After the death of her father in 1956, Lois moved out to California to be close to her sisters. She lived out the remainder of her life unmarried, in Red Bluff, California.
