Wife of Alexander Taylor. She was tragically killed by a drunk driver in a car accident. The same accident also claimed the lives of two (her grandson and grandson-in-law) and severely injured three others, all in the same family. The following information has been added by Julie Slagle, granddaughter. Charlottie Reed Taylor was married at 17 to a man 20 years her senior. They had 11 children, with 10 surviving to adulthood. My mother, Charlotte, was the youngest. As my brother stated above, she was killed in a head-on collision with a drunk driver returning home from Christmas shopping. I was only 4 years old at the time, so my memories of her are very faint. My clearest memory is the powdered sugar donuts she would give me when we visited her home. Thanks, Mom-Mom!
