Rites Pend for Abraham Thompson
Abraham Thompson, 79, 419 3rd Ave. SW, foreman with the bridge and building department of the former Great Northern Railway until he retired in in 1959, died in a local rest home Saturday morning. Thompson had been in failing health.
Thompson was born April 30, 1893, in Minnesota. He had been a resident of Great Falls since 1933. He was a member of the Bethel Lutheran church, World War I Veterans and American Legion.
Surviving are his widow, the former Thomine K. "Kitty" Christiansen, whom he married in Fort Benton Feb. 26, 1931; three brothers, John, Selmer and Thron, all of Princeton, Minn.; and two sisters, Jennie Furseth and Lena Odegard, both of Minneapolis.
