Mary A. Vaeth, age 86, of Round Rock, TXand formerly of Austin, TX passed away Friday, August 27, 2004. She was a longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the American Lebanese Association. She married her beloved husband, John in 1942. Mary worked for Mutual Savings until her retirement in 1985. She devoted herself to her family and volunteer work with the American Lung Association. She was preceded in death by her parents, Salem and Elizabeth Abraham; her daughter, Jackie Wallace and brother, Abe Abraham. She is survived by her husband, John S. Vaeth of Round Rock TX; daughter, Mary E. Vaeth of Round Rock TX; son, John S. Vaeth, Jr. and wife, Ellen of League City TX; son-in-law, Edward B. Wallace of Austin TX; granddaughters, Stacey V. Dries and husband, Kevin of Houston TX and Carrie E. Vaeth of Austin TX; sisters, Emily McPherson of Austin TX, Rose Terbay of Georgetown TX, Martha Barklow of Concord, CA, and Anna Valcourt of Austin TX; brother, David Abraham of Austin TX; sister-in-law, Frances Vaeth of Pt. Charlotte, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rosary services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, August 29, 2004, in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home . Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 30, 2004, at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 12041 Bittern Hollow, with Father Bill Brooks, Celebrant. Entombment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. Honoring Mrs. Vaeth as pallbearers will be David Abraham, Joe Abraham, Sam Abraham, Andrew Valcourt, Kevin Dries and Wendall Johnson. Honorary pallbearer will be Thomas Terbay. The family would like to thank the staff of Park Bend Health Center for their tender loving care.
