George W. Beaver, 91, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010. Mr. Beaver, a member of Highlands United Methodist Church, was a retired U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer, having served during WWII and the Korean War. He was also a member of the Fleet Reserve, Unit #91. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Pauline L. Beaver; 2 sons, Calvin (Nancy) and George (Nola) Beaver; former daughter-in-law, Sandra Beaver; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 19, in the chapel of Corey Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Ave., with Rev. Joe Allinder officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, today, at the funeral home.
