Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 19, 2010 at a 10:00 AM Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Cynthia Shirley Farque, 74, who passed away peacefully on Monday, March 15, 2010 in Ocala, Florida surrounded by her family.

Interment will be in Fountain Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Reverend Ira Robinson, Pastor of Asbury United Methodist Church, will officiate the services. Jodi Bollich, organist and soloist, will sing for the services, "Ave Maria", "Wind Beneath My Wings", "How Great Thou Art", "You Raise Me Up" and "I Can Only Imagine".

Survivors include, two daughters: Stephanie Meincke, and her husband, John Meincke; and Belinda (Lenny) Teeter, and her husband, Dr. Lee Teeter; two sons: Mr. Douglas "Tiger" Farque and his wife, Barbara and Mr. David B. Farque and his wife, Tara; nine grandchildren, Emily, Jonathon, and Trey Teeter, Eric and Christopher "Kit" Meincke, Michael Farque, Sarah, James and Matthew Farque; three sisters, Bonita West and her husband, Jack; Regina Lee and Kaye Reifschneider and her husband, Bob; and two brothers, Dr. James "Buck" Shirley and his wife, Jan and Kendall Shirley and his wife, Roxie.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years, James Douglas "Doug" Farque; her parents, Disston and Ava Dampeer Shirley; and one sister, Quintilla Shirley.

A native of DeRidder, Louisiana and a resident of Lafayette for most of her life, Cynthia Farque was employed with Ron Gaubert and Associates for nearly thirty years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Pallbearers will be Dr. James "Buck" Shirley, Jack West, Kendall Shirley, Bob Reifschneider, Lee Teeter, John Meincke and Richard West. Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

The family requests that visitation be observed on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and will continue on Friday from 8:00 AM until time of services at Martin & Castille Funeral Home's Downtown location.

Memorial contributions can be made in Mrs. Farque's name to Hospice of Marion County, Inc., P. O. Box 4860, Ocala, FL 34478-4860.
