Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lakeland for Douglas Jennings (Tiger) Farque, 52, who died Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. Services will be conducted by Rev. Todd Lloyd. Interment will be in Chenal Cemetery.

There will also be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 22 from 11 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Lafayette, LA at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 111 Goodnight Dr.

He was a native of New Orleans and resident of Ventress. He was a welder/machinist. Tiger loved people and people loved him right back. He had the kindest soul and gentlest heart. His only goal was to be of help to all who came in contact with him. He was never without a smile and a helping hand.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James D. Farque and Cynthia Shirley Farque formerly of Lafayette; grandparents, Jennings and Tauvee Farque, Ada Dampeer Shirley

He is survived by his son, Michael Farque; his sisters, Stephanie Meincke and John, and Lenny Teeter and Lee; his brother David Farque and Tara; nieces, Emily Teeter, Sarah and Lauren Farque; and nephews, Jonathon and Trey Teeter, Eric and Kit Meincke, James and Matthew Farque.

Visiting will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lakeland on Friday, August 21, 2015 from 1 p.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 3 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Bryant Bergeaux, Roger Morgan, Carl Schexnaeider, David Farque, Jonathon Teeter and Trey Teeter.
