Final Rites Held October 6 For Bessie Miller, 77
Funeral services for Mrs. Harmon S. (Bessie) Miller, 77, of Bedford, held October 6 in Shum-Novinger Funeral Home in Bedford, were conducted by Rev. Carl Cummings. Mrs. Miller died October 3, 1981 in Rosary Hospital in Corning, Ia. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery, Bedford.
Bessie Brumfield Miller, daughter of Robert Brumfield and Anna Hunt Brumfield, was born near Sheridan, Missouri, March 19, 1904.
She grew to maturity in the Sheridan area where she attended the public school and the Christian Church.
In 1922 she was united in marriage to Harmon S. [amuel] Miller and they resided at Sheridan, Mo., until moving to Bedford in 1926 where she has continued to reside.
One son, Robert E. Miller was born to this union.
She was employed by the Cudahay Packing Company for several years. She was a member of the Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Bert Brumfield.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Robert E. Miller and his wife, Madge Miller, of Dallas, Texas; grandson, Gary Miller of Long View, Texas; and a granddaughter, Susan Miller Farmer of Kansas City, Missouri; a sister in law, Ann Brumfield Black; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Her family and friends will remember her as a kind and considerate loved one and she will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
