Miss C. Mabel Ruthrauff, 87, 417 W. Middle St., died Sunday morning at 9:10 o'clock at her home after being under a doctors care for some time. Born in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Abraham W. and Emma S. (Sprenkle) Ruthruaff. She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church and taught the Women's Bible Class at the church for a number of years. She graduated from Shippensburg Normal School in the class of 1904, and taught in the Waynesboro Elementary School system for 14 years. She had resided in Gettysburg for the last 25 years.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. John H. Kadel, 415 W. Middle St., and these nieces and nephews, Mrs. Sherrick Gilbert, Pittsburgh; Mrs. Oliver Krape, Clearfield, Pa.; Byron Kadel, Baltimore; G. Welty Kadel, Long Island; John E. Kadel, Clearwater, Fla.; the Rev. Dr. William H. Kadel, Richmond, Va., Mrs. William T. Poole, Philadelphia; Miss Helen Kadel, and Miss Lois Kadel, both of Gettysburg; 20 great-grandnieces and nephews and 24 great-great-grand nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. from the Monahan Funeral Home, Carlisle St., with her nephew, the Rev. Dr. William H. Kadel, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Allen Keith, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene here, and the Rev. Elwood L. Bair, pastor of Christ United Methodist Church in Waynesboro. Interment will be in Burns Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

Kadel, officiating, assisted by Rev. Allen Keith and Rev. Elwood L. Bair. Burial was in Burns Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro. Seven grand nephews served as pallbearers; John E. Kadel, J Sherrick Gilbert, Richard W. Kadel, George W. Kadel, James 0. Wilson, Byron K. Kraft and William T. Poole.
