Mrs. Sarah E. McMartin passed away at
the home of her daughter, Mrs. Albert A.
Kochling, 146 Diamond avenue, S.E., age
72 years. Besides Mrs. Kochling, she leaves
one brother and two sisters. Funeral serv-
ices from the residence Monday morning at
10. Interment at Holland, Mich."

Sarah E Woodbeck was born on 21 May, 1847, Alabama, Genese, New York, to David Woodbeck and Ursula Ann Kenyon.
The family moved to Michigan in the mid 1850's.
On 11 February, 1867, Sarah married to Daniel Webster McMartin, son of Duncan McMartin and Eleanor Adams.
The marriage took place in Allegan and was witnessed by Thompson Sherman and his wife Hortensia. Hortensia was Sarah's sister.
From this union were born 3 children: Glenn David, Eleanor "Nellie" and Charles.
After the death of son Charles in 1891, Sarah and Daniel divorced. Sarah spent some time living with daughter Nellie Kochling. Then in 1910, she moved to Nanaimo, British Columbia to live with son Glenn David and his family.
She returned to Michigan in 1912, along with Glenn David.
On 27 July, 1912, Sarah McMartin married to Daniel McMartin for the second time. The wedding was witnessed by Glenn David McMartin, Victoria, B.C. and Albert A. Kochling, Grand Rapids. The wedding took place at Grand Rapids.
Daniel died on 20 December, 1916. Sarah returned to the home of the Kochlings, where she died on 6 February, 1920.
