Had Lived in River Falls Ever Since Her Marriage to Mr. Lund in 1890.
Mrs. Pernilla Lund was born December 23, 1860. She came with her parents in early childhood to St. Croix county and was married to A. W. Lund in October, 1890 and has had her home in River Falls ever since.
She died after a long illness peacefully at her home Thursday March 19, at 9:35 p.m. Thursday aged 70 years 2 months and 24 days. All that human hands could do was done for her, but all the love of kindly hearts and medical skill could not sustain life.
Her husband preceded her 15 months ago.
Mrs. Lund was a true Christian and a faithful and active member of the Swedish Mission church.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 22, 1931 at the home and church, conducted by Rev P. Lindh, who preached in English from Ps. 23:4 assisted by Rev. Thorwald Myherer, New Freiden, Minn., who preached in Norwegian from Acts 9 36-42.
Mrs. Oscar Johnson and Mrs. P . Lindh sang three beautiful songs. Mrs. Albert Nelson play the orgaan.
Victor Maline, Charles Upgren, August Hall, Charles L Pearson, Gust ____ and Frank Luberg acted as pall bearers.
The floral offerings were beautiful and there was a large attendance who honored the esteemed pioneer at her departure. She was laid to rest by the side of her husband at the Greenwood cemetery.
Mrs. Lund is survived by six brothers and other relatives. Outof town relatives present at the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Charley Younggren, Northcote, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Peterson, St.Paul, Minn., Mrs. R. C. Younggren, Eliva, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Henry Nelson, Misses Vira and Verna Lindquist, Cameron Falls, Minn., Rev and Mrs. Thorwald Myherer, and son, New Feiden, Minn., mr and Mrs. Albert Johnson and son Henry, Stillwater, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. John Carlson, and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Carlson and two sons, Minneapolis Minn.
