Adolph Warnke of Kiel Summoned; Funeral Monday
Kiel. – (Special) – Adolph Warnke, 73, of 627 Calumet drive, this city, died at Memorial hospital, Sheboygan, at 4:30 a.m. today. He had been confined at the hospital since Oct. 13.
Mr. Warnke was born March 23, 1868, in Germany, and came to Milwaukee in 1892. Three years later he moved to Kiel to make his home. He married Wilhelmina Backhaus of Kiel on Dec. 26, 1898, at the present home.
Survivors are his wife, a son, Alfred, at home, a daughter, Mrs. Leo (Selma) Rach, of Kiel, a grandson, James Rach, two sisters, one in Germany and the other, Mrs. Emma Vorphal, near Kiel. A sister and a brother in Germany preceded him in death.
He had been employed for 30 years at the Kiel Woodenware company, and retired several years ago. He was a member of the senior choir of St. Peter Evangelical and Reformed church for many years.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Meiselwitz Funeral home, and at 2 o'clock at St. Peter Evangelical and Reformed church. The Rev. E. L. Worthman will officiate and burial will be in Rockville cemetery.
