Obituary:
The funeral of Mrs. T.A. Peery was held Friday afternoon in Assembly of God church, Mooreland, Rev. Elder of Buffalo officiating. Burial was made in Haskew cemetery, Knittel Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Ray Gooch, Forrest Starr, Warren Starr, Hubert Weiszbrod, Estel Weiszbrod and Tommy Weiszbrod. Malinda Jo Gooch was the youngest daughter of Nathan and Ella Gooch. She was born in Howard county, MO, Feb. 21, 1865; died in Mooreland, OK, Jan. 2, 1940. She was united in marriage to Thomas A. Peery on Aug. 17, 1885. To this union four children were born, three of them survive. They lived in Grundy county, MO, until Nov. 12, 1904, coming to Oklahoma in the year 1904, and homesteaded 7 miles northwest of Haskew, living on the homestead until 1911, when they moved to Mooreland, where they resided until their death. Her husband died Nov., 1927. One son, William Nathan, passed away in Jan., 1913. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Fannie Starr of Mooreland; Mrs. Janie Sharkey of Woodward, and Mrs. Alta Weiszbrod, Curtis. There are also 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 1 nephew, Ray Gooch of Freedom, 1 sister, Lillian Estes of Trenton, MO. She was a member of the Assembly of God church, Mooreland.
