Rushville Republican - February 25, 1953
Martin Clevenger, 87, a life long resident of Rushville, expired Wednesday morning at 5:30 o'clock in the County Home. He had been a resident there for several years.
He was born August 30, 1865, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Clevenger. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Edith Abernathy Clevenger of St. Paul; two sons, Earl of near Arlington and Theodore of near Angola; and a daughter, Mrs. Delbert Newman of Idaho FAlls, Idaho.
Lt. James V. Davis of the Salvation Army will conduct private funeral services Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Carmony Funeral Home at Manilla. Interment will follow in East Hill Cemetery.
