Mrs. Myrtle Buchanan Thompson, well known resident of the Lutie community died in Wellington Monday night at 6:30 p. m. following
an illness caused by gall stones. Mrs. Thompson was 45 years, 4 months and 11 days of age, born Sept. 3, 1886. She was a native of Texas and had made her home in Collingsworth County, north of Wellington, for many years. Mrs. Thompson was known as sincere, honest and true in every phase of her character. She was ever faithful and loyal to her loved ones and friends. She was converted and joined the church in 1885 at Newlin, in Hall County, and had lived her life as a devoted Christian wife and mother.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by her husband, F. W. Thompson of Wellington, a son Fred Thompson; two daughters Miss Virginia Thompson and Miss Verda Thompson; two sisters, Mrs. Roy Smith of Goodwell, OK and Mrs. Arthur Camp of Guymon, OK. Two brothers, Harry Buchanan of Goodwell, OK and Don Buchananan of Guymon, OK.
