Mrs. William Cook, well known and highly esteemed pioneer citizen of Collingsworth County, died at her home in Wellington Friday, March 6 at 7:10 p.m. at the age of 78 years, four months and 26 days. She had made her home in Wellington for the past 19 years and 11 months. Mrs. Cook was born October 10, 1852 in Saline County, Missouri. At an early age she was converted and throughout her life followed the teachings of the Baptist church of which she was a devout member.
Mrs. Cook is survived by her husband and two sons, Jesse N. Cook and Joe W. Cook, all of Wellington.
