Henry J. Wood was born to Alemont and Mary M. Wood. He married Annie Cavitt on October 6, 1886 in McGregor, McLennan, Texas. They resided in McGregor until 1889 when they moved to the Harmon community in Coryell County. They lived here until 1928 when they moved to Gatesville. They had seven children, Ellen "Ella", Mary Lou, Maggie, Attamont "Bud", Frank L., John A. and Lillie M. Wood. Henry and Annie are both buried in the Pidcoke Cemetery, Coryell, Texas.
