OBIT:

Emanuel Stickler, well-known resident of Pendleton for more than 30 years, was found dead in his bed this morning at 5 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. O. P. Bowman, on West Court Street. Death had probably visited him peacefully about an hour before he was discovered and it is presumed was occasioned by rheumatism which had affected his heart. He was 77 years old.

Deceased, who came west from Iowa, was formerly engaged in teaming in this city but had during late years been retired from active life. He wife's death preceded his own about a year but the following children survive him: Mrs. J.W. Ingram of Cove, Mrs. W. W. Abbott of Portland, Mrs. W. S. Wells, Mrs. O. P. Bowman, Fred Stickler and Edgar Stickler, all of this city.

Definite funeral arrangements have not yet been made but the family intends holding the services a the Folsom Chapel tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock if the absent children of the deceased have arrived by that time.
