Samantha died from cancer of the uterus. The informant on her death certificate was her son-in-law Joseph Ingram. Her parents were George Welker and Harriet Bashford.

Mrs. Samantha Ann Stickler, resident of this city for many years died at the family home on Clay Street at 10:30 last night from a complication of troubles due to old age. The dead woman was 69 years of age and is survived by her husband [Emanuel Stickler] and a number of children among whom are Mrs. Pearl Bowman, Mrs. Walter Wells, Mrs. J. W. Ingram of Cove, Ore., and Fred Stickler of this city. The funeral is to be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from the Folsom undertaking chapel.
