Philip Theroux, 83, of Crookston died Monday at Riverview Hospital.

Funeral services are scheduled for the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Crookston. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Crookston.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Stenshoel Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. A Knights of Columbus rosary services will follow.

He was born September 16, 1901, in Terrebonne to Louis and Philomene Valencourt Theroux. He attended schools there and later moved to Dorothy, where he worked at the Dorothy Locker Plant and Erickson's Meat Market until retirement in 1073. His wife died in 1979.

He was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, the Knights of Columbus, the Eagles Aerie 873, the American Legion and the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Survivors include three daughters, Joan Vick of Annandale, VA, Jean Arnasan of Miami, Fl, and Harriet Ahles of Detroit Lakes; 16 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother Bert of Bremerton, Washington, five sisters, Tillie Markuson of Minneapolis, Anna Pugh of Ashville, Ohio, Angie Meier of coos Vay, Oregon, Delema St. Ives of Seattle, Washington, and Marie Demarais of Red Lake Falls; and nieces and nephews.
