Funeral was at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Green Funeral Home in Rosebud with the Rev. R. L. Brown officiating.

Burial was in the Powers Chapel Cemetery.

Surviving are two sons, Raymond Lawrence Shuffield of Houston and John Louie Shuffield of Cameron; a half-brother, John Louie Springer of Lott; three half-sisters, Mrs. Maudie Mullinix of Cameron, Mrs. Eula Dietrich of Waco and Mrs. Zelma Stone of Elgin and five grandchildren.
