J. T. Bush -
J. T. Bush, 89, of 1200 Wright Avenue, Alma, died July 15, 1983 at the Michigan Masonic Home in Alma. Mr. Bush was born Nov. 5, 1893 in Isabella County, the son of Oscar H. and Etta L. (Smith) Bush. He was married to Lois K. Reyer of Pleasant Valley on May 21, 1919 in St. Louis. She preceded him in death on July 13, 1970.
He was a life time resident of this area and was employed as a sugar beet field man for the Lake Shore Sugar Company. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in St. Louis, a life member of the St. Louis Masonic Lodge #188 F & AM and a life member of the St. Louis R.A.M.
Surviving are two sons, Russell M. and Alfred (Sam) L., both of St. Louis; one brother, Roy L. of Allegan; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held July 18 from the First United Methodist Church in St. Louis. The Rev. Gerald Bates of St. Louis officiated and interment was at the Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Louis. A Masonic Service was held at the Alward-Carter Funeral Home July 17.

Well Known Couple Celebrate Event with Their Five Sons and Family
In celebration of their golden wedding anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Oscar H. Bush were honored guests Sunday at a family gathering at the farm of one of their five sons, J. T. Bush. five miles north of St. Louis.
Mr. and Mrs. Bush were married at Howell, Michigan, on August 24, 1890. They came to St. Louis and started their home on the same farm where they now reside. In the early nineties what is now their well improved farm was for the greater part virgin timber. Gradually by hard work they cleared the land and built for themselves the fine farm home they now enjoy. They have seen many changes in
the country.
