David Lee Benner, age 48, of Van Wert, Ohio, died at 9:57 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2005, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born April 15, 1956, in Van Wert, the son of the late Charles John and RaeDean (Tyler) Benner.
On Feb. 23, 1980, he married Agnes Rose (Heimann) Benner. She survives in Van Wert.
Other survivors include:
Children — Curtis John Benner, Matthew Lee Benner and Jason Dean Benner, all of Van Wert.
Brothers — Phil Benner of Virginia and Doug (Robin) Benner of Van Wert.
Sisters — Bonnie (Paul) Coburn of Van Wert, Chris (Tom) Stutz of Middle Point and Deb Benner of Van Wert.
Godfather — David (Pat) King of Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Sue Baucom and Elaine Pollock.
Mr. Benner had formerly worked for the Van Wert County Weatherization Department.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert. Deacon Andy McMahon will officiate.
