Senate in 1950 and served consecutively in that body until his appointment by Gov. Nelson Rockefeller to the N.Y.S. Court of Claims, March 30, 1962. On June 13, 1959, he became Erie Co. Republican Chairman and served until his resignation March 26, 1962. He was designated Presiding Judge by Gov. Rockefeller on January 20, 1973 and served in that capacity until his retirement in 1978.
