LUCILLE ELKINS
Ada — Services for Lucille May Elkins, 90, Ada, are 2 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Shawn Wiebers will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall.
Mrs. Elkins died Monday, March 14, 2011 at a local hospital. She was born Nov. 16, 1920 in the Owl Creek Community to A. D. "Buck" and Mary Murphy Scott. She lived in this area all her life. She attended Stonewall schools and graduated from Stonewall High School.
She married Walter Elkins Oct. 3, 1942. They were married for 68 years. Mrs. Elkins was a sales clerk for Dillon's Department Store in Ada for many years and a charter member of the Union Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Ron Elkins and his wife Mary, San Antonio, Texas and Larry Elkins and his wife Michele, Ada; and three grandchildren, Michelle Elkins, Tim Elkins and Eric Carr.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Darlene Elkins in 1988, a sister, Corinne Horton in 1999 and a brother, Wayne Scott in 2004.
