Funeral services for Lela Catherine "Kate" Warren Alexander, 95, of New London, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Henderson, with Pastors Johnny Wright and Don McPherson officiating. Burial will follow at Pirtle Cemetery in Rusk County. Visitation will be from 6~8 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home.

Mrs. Alexander was a loving mother and MoMo and her greatest joy was her family.

Mrs. Alexander was born Nov. 6, 1914, in the Jacobs Community, Rusk County, the eldest of nine children born to W.A. "Aut" and Mamie Lee Brewer Warren. Mrs. Alexander passed away Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, at her younger daughter's home in Winnsboro where she had resided for the past several years. She was a member of Missionary Baptist Church in Overton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Jewel Barton in 1941 and Harold Alexander in 1980 and by granddaughter, Cathy Phillips Hawkins in 1999. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Florene Warren and Georgia Lee Warren Alexander, and brothers, William Robert, Joseph and Homer Warren.

Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Patsy and Scooter Phillips of Henderson and Deanne and Jack Craker of Winnsboro; eight grandchildren, Carol Phillips, Connie and Randy Little, Colleen and Ron Briggs, Todd and D'Aun Littlefield, Heidi and Richard Clover, Amy and Chris Reed, Emilee and Morris Harmon, and Chad and Shanna Littlefield; 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild. Other survivors include sister, Marie Hall and husband Ray, and brother Floyd Warren, all of Henderson, several nieces and nephews, and her special care giver Janet Martin.

Pallbearers will be Todd Littlefield, Chad Littlefield, Jackie Gentry, Richard Clover, Chris Reed and David Rowell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Little, Ron Briggs, Scott Arnold, Morris Harmon, Bryan Stagner, Phillip Seelbach, Kelvin Gentry, Richie Clover, Collin Briggs, and Michael Clover.
