Rock Hill, Oct 20--Funeral services for Richard A. Cornwell, 73, who died at his home at Catawba Junction last night, will be held at the Harmany (sic) Baptist church, of which he was a member, tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. The services will be conducted by the Rev. E. L. Larsen, assisted by the Rev. W. R. Echols and Dr. A. S. Rogers.
Mr. Cornwell had been in declining health for a number of year.
A retired mail carrier, he had carried the mail from the Catawba postoffice for 28 years. In 1895 he married Miss Gertrude Collins of the Harmony community who survives him with the following children: Mrs. T. B. Hanley of Rockingham, NC; Mrs S. C. Hunsucker of Catawba; John L. Cornwell of Portsmouth, Va., and W. Beech Cornwell, U. S. army, Alaska. He had 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
