Mr. Cornwell was stricken with paralysis several weeks ago, and his death was not unexpected. The funeral services were to be held at Neely's Creek A. R. P. church this morning.
Mr. Cornwell was born and reared four miles at his home in Leslie, in York County many years ago. He leaves a wife and several sons and daughters.
Mr. Cornwell was a Confederate veteran, having rendered brave and faithful service as a member of the cavalry.
