Lafayette DeRoss, aged 79 years, died Saturday morning at 8 o'clock at his home, 619 West Madison avenue after an extended illness due to complications.
Mr. DeRoss was born in Crawford County and had lived in that community his life time with the exception of the last three years spent in New Castle.
He leaves his widow, Hannah Snyder DeRoss, one daughter, Mrs. John Andes of Greenville, Pa., and two sons, George W. of Buffalo, N.Y. and C.L. DeRoss of this city.
Funeral services will take place Monday afternoon at 2:30 from the home in charge of Rev. D.C. Schnebly of the Mahoning Presbyterian church. Interment in Valley View cemetery.
