Alice was the daughter of Kristian Bur Berntsen Skaraas and Emma Marie Gulbranson.

She had two siblings: Blanche Christina and Esther Irene.

Alice married Adolph August Wendlandt on July 31, 1931.

They adopted a daughter, Donna Lou George.

Alice Wendlandt 1909-1979

Alice Wendlandt, 70, a resident of Leonard, died Saturday at the Clearwater Memorial Hospital.
Services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church at Leonard, with Pastor Paul Knutson officiating. Burial was in the Norway Lake Cemetery under the direction of the Cease Funeral Home of Bagley.
She was born March 8, 1909, at Janesville, the daughter of Christ and Emma Benson. As a youngster she moved to Upham, North Dakota, and was a longtime resident of Leonard. She married Edd Wendlandt on July 31, 1929 in Bemidji. He died in 1973.
She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, the ALCW, and was a former Sunday school teacher.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna Wendlandt of Bemidji; three grandchildren, Sue and Eddy Haug, Bemidji, and Thomas Haug of Crookston, two sisters, Mrs. Wayne Tyler, (Blanch) of Homestead, Montana; and Mrs. Elmer Gordon, (Esther), Leonard.
