W.R. Bumbaugh, age 77, of RD 3, ...Grove, died at the residence at 8:30 a.m. today, following an illness of several months duration.
Born in Lewistown, Pa., June 16, 1876, he was a son of Jacob and Margaret Bumbaugh. He was a retired bricklayer and a life member of the local Bricklayers Union. Mr. Bumbaugh was a member of the Madison Avenue Christian church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Anna M. O'Brien Bumbaugh; a daughter, Mrs. Gladys E. Crane, ..., Pa., a son, W. jay Bumbaugh, this city; a brother, Blaine Bumbaugh, Mahoningtown; four grandchildren. Two daughters and a son preceded their father in death.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, from the Howard L. Reynolds funeral home, Adams street, with Melvin Sparks, officiating. Interment will be in Valley View cemetery.
