Margaret was the daughter of Bertha Auguste Belling. When Bertha married Charles H. Witt in 1900, he adopted Margaret and she became Margaret A. Witt. In 1916 Margaret married Harry August Schneider. They had a daughter Margaret who died in childbirth in 1917. She is buried in Appleton, WI with their grandparents and great-grandparents. Harry and Margaret had five more children: Harry, Robert, Dorothy, June and Donald. June died at age 6 from bronchial pneumonia.
